Boiler Servicing

Soper's have been servicing boilers in and around the Plymouth area for decades. We offer an easy and reliable boiler service solution for all home owners and landlords. We service all types, makes and models of gas boilers. Prevention is better than cure, keeping your boiler annually maintained can save money in the long run and unnecessary, costly boiler repairs.

Hassle free boiler servicing... If requested, Soper's will schedule your boiler in to our complimentary annual servicing programme, you'll be reminded every year as and when your boiler service is due.

Even if your boiler is new or under warranty, manufacturers will only uphold their policy if the boiler is annually services and the service manual signed off.

Our standard cost for a boiler service is £96 Inc VAT - (£80 + VAT). This charge is negotiable for landlords with volume. Contact us for a quotation.

Common possible additional charges:
Under Gas Safe legislation a carbon monoxide detector must be fitted in close proximity of the boiler/gas appliance.
Our cost to supply and fit a carbon monoxide detector at time of service is £42 Inc VAT - (£35 + VAT).

Often heating systems and boilers work inefficiently due to the build up of debris in the system. This can be dramatically improved by chemically flushing the system.
Heating system flush and chemical clean (inc inhibitor addition) £600 Inc VAT - (£500 + VAT).
HomeCare Customers benefit from a 50% reduction in a chemical system flush - Only £300 Inc VAT - (£250 + VAT)

• Initial visual check of the boiler.
• Ensure the boiler fires safely to identify any working defects or faults.
• Carry out a flue gas analysis efficiency test.
• Opening up the boiler and inspecting key working components.
• Remove, clean and refit the condensate trap.
• Check operating pressures.
• Carry out a visual check the flue and ventilation to ensure they meet current Gas Safety Regulations.
• Check system pressure and adjust accordingly.
• Visually check radiators and valves (bleed radiators if required).
• Carry out a visual check on the hot water cylinder and associated pipework (if applicable).
• Test gas pressure and leave in good working order.
• Sign manufacturers service record book if available.
• Confirm in writing/email that the service has been carried out.
